Wausau Tea Party

Last week, the president actually said the nation is “waiting for [Washington] to act” on the health care issue. This is arrogance and political posturing at its worst. Like us, the president knows the truth. Every reputable public opinion poll for months has clear majorities of the American people saying “NO” to the health care “reform” coming out of Washington, D.C.

Now is the time to finish the job of protecting this most personal freedom by stopping the Democrats’ Washington takeover of our health care in the U.S. House of Representatives.

On Tuesday, March 16th, as part of a National HONK AGAINST THE HEALTHCARE TAKEOVER RALLY, please join THE WAUSAU TEA PARTY PATRIOTS as we drive in a procession to Congressman Dave Obey's and Senator Russ Feingold's district offices in Wausau. The goal is to have Americans across the nation telling the politicians to keep their hands off our health care through this “Honk Against the Healthcare Takeover” effort.

1. Meet at WAUSAU HOMES PARKING LOT - 10805 Business Hwy 51 South - Rothschild AT 11:15AM. We will meet in the parking lot at Wausau Homes and assemble a line of vehicles to depart at 11:30am for downtown Wausau. We will provide directions and details about our actions when you arrive. PLEASE BE PROMPT! Decorate your vehicles with signs and messages expressing your opposition to the WASHINGTON HEALTHCARE TAKEOVER.

2. If you are unable to meet at Wausau Homes, please meet us downtown outside Obey's/Feingold's offices at the U.S. BANK BUILDING at 401 Fifth Street, Wausau at 11:30am. BRING SIGNS! We will rally on foot along Scott Street as the procession of drivers circle the downtown area and we will proceed up to Obey's/Feingold's offices thereafter to deliver our message in person to their staff.

PLEASE JOIN US and invite your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers! This will likely be our last chance to make our VOICES HEARD before the vote! We must not remain silent. Complacency is NOT an option. This may be the most important lunch hour of your life!
